dreams, according to this fictioness book i've read by a wittingly humourous author, tom holt, are created by creatures called The Fey. they do not exactly possess a coherent life form, but are most real when they enter the dreams of an unconscious person.
according to the content of the book, the reason why one cannot control his dreams is because The Feys are the one doing so. firstly, u odd to realise that u're most of the time not alone in your dreams. u tend to dream of people as well, whether they are family, friends or strangers. sometimes, u would also dream that u're in a foreign country or u might be at a particular place doing a particular thing. the thing is, The Fey takes the form of a person or persons so as to speak, and they are the ones appearing in your dreams. more often than not, they have an ulterior agenda too- probably to go to a certain place or to acheive a certain something. thus, they conjure up the dreams in your mind so that they are able to accomplish what they set out to do. for example, u'd probably dream of having a holiday in hawaii. this is because one of The Fey has the intentions of going to hawaii, so as to reach there, it conjured up a dream of u being in that country. interesting isnt it? :)
of course, The Feys are like humans, where both good and bad exists. this explains the unnatural phenomenon of why some people die in their sleep. this is because the bad Feys killed them in their dreams, thereby killing them physically too. in a nutshell, mr holt is trying to put across that dreams are actually very dangerous things. hahaha. in other words, each time u're asleep or unconscious, u're actually putting your live on the slaugher table. hahaha. the book is seriously interesting, full of humour and sarcasm :)
anyway, liverpool defeated everton in yesterday's epl match: 2-1. 2 goals scored by dirk kuyt through penalties. hypia OG, making way for everton's lead in the first half. but it really wasnt his fault because his intention was to kick away the ball. managed to catch the match at my uncle's 55 surprise birthday party. but i couldnt hear the commentaries because music was being played and people were talking so loudly. but is doesnt make much of a difference because i still felt the adrenaline rush.
dirk kuyt
